About Us

The Community Team at Gloucester Rugby aim to succeed in making a difference to the lives of many young people, inspiring and motivating them to enjoy a physically active and healthy lifestyle and transforming attitudes to learning through educational initiatives.

The Community team visit more than 100 schools across Gloucestershire each season offering sessions to more than 12,000 young people, plus a further 2000 young people will take part in educational sessions held at Kingsholm Stadium.

Our Community programme aims to deliver huge benefits to the local community by using the unique ability of rugby to address a broad range of issues.

Utilising the rugby club, its brand, professional players and the stadium we deliver projects that give all young people involved the opportunity to fulfil their potential and to play a positive and active role in society.

Many of our projects are developed in collaboration with a wide range of public services organisations, health and education providers, and local businesses.

We also recognise that young people themselves and our local community have innovative ideas and therefore they play a significant part in helping us shape projects that meet specific needs.

The Community section of this website is divided into 4 main sections. You can browse and find out a lot more by using the tabs within each section
